Our Beef - Grass fed, antibiotic free, hormone free, chemical free beef from Pikiroa Organic Farm and processed in our shop. Aged for 21 days minimum.
The chuck is an interesting piece of meat, becauses, at the rib end, it containes a few inches of the same tender muscle that gives us ribeye steaks; however, it's also surrounded by connective tissue, fat, and a few other muscles that aren't so tender. The chuck is perfect for braising, and slow cooking. The fat adds lots of flavour and keeps the meat succulent.
Best cooked slowly in a crock pot. 8 hours on low or 4 hours on high.
